I received my first camera when I was seven years old as a gift from my parents. Photography quickly developed into a passion that has increased throughout the years. Since the birth of my daughter, I’ve fallen even more in love with photographing people, in particular. As I watch her grow, she reminds me of how quickly we change and how important it is to capture everything I can.

I minored in art during my undergraduate studies and took photography classes there, but much of my experience has been through experimentation, exploration, and trial and error. My artistic style is ever-evolving and I embrace that. Photography is a medium that flexes with me as I grow as an artist and person and find new ways to communicate, through art, with the people around me.

When I’m not taking pictures, I can be found working on home projects with my husband and tickling my little girl in Raleigh, North Carolina.
A few more random things (if you really want to know)…
-I work–a lot. But I love what I do.
-I love to travel and have visted several countries in Asia and Europe. I’d love to travel the whole world. My dream place to visit is New Zealand.
-I favor the right side of my mouth while eating. Yep, that means the biggest and best bites get chewed on that side. This may explain my TMJ…
-I love Etsy, local craft fairs, thrift stores, and flea markets.
-If I can make something custom for our home myself (or rope my husband into it), I will.
-The older I get, the bigger crybaby I become.
-I had the fish (bacalau) croquettas in Madrid at Casa Labra. They have haunted my dreams ever since. SO good.
-I think sign language is beautiful and moving to watch. It’s completely mesmerizing to me.
-I can’t choose one favorite color. What I like are the colors together.
-If I want to feel like I’m taking a mini vacation, all it takes is a night off with some fish tacos and a margarita.
-I love God, my family, my friends, and Raleigh.
-I want to take your picture : )
