For Japan With Love

Lucia from Utterly Engaged and Lydia from Ever Ours have teamed up to create a fundraising page to help those in Japan who are in need of shelter. The organization is ShelterBox, which delivers the essentials a family needs to survive in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items. I will be participating in the For Japan With Love’s Bloggers’ Day of Silence on March 18th.  The goal is to raise awareness about the devastation in Japan and to raise funds for those who need it most. Please strongly consider making a donation.

Those of you who regularly follow my blog might remember a post I did, sharing some images from my trip to Japan last year. Included are some pictures of my sister and her boyfriend, both of whom live in Japan. I’m incredibly thankful that they, as well as my friend Julie and my friend Dave (both also live in Japan), are safe. My heart goes out to everyone there.
